Kolani Williams, Director
As a childcare provider, I am very clear about the important role of introducing KIMC assists in teaching basic etiquette, grammar, proper food portions and age appropriate academics (including reading/writing/math/science), intro to Spanish, sign English/language/spelling, swim lessons, daycare garden, music/dance time, show and tell (public speaking and leadership), and arts/crafts.
We take pride in the ability to identify, acknowledge, nurture and foster each child’s strengths along with motivational focus on areas of improvement – celebrating and enjoying accomplishments along the way. In addition to nutritional value and physical development, we focus on social emotional skills. Weekly, fresh fruit/veggies are selected from local farmer’s markets. Children are encouraged to use their words to communicate and negotiate compromises with their peers. Realistic options are suggested to deal with disappointment and frustration.
In short, our learning environment encourages children to make connections and expand upon their foundation of knowledge and skills. We constantly strive to add activities, equipment and tools to allow your child to learn new concepts while having fun.
